Starting at Hillside Pre-School
Whatever stage of the application process you are at, you can be assured that our staff will be warm and welcoming and here to guide you through every step of the way.
- Waiting List
  You can register your child on our waiting list at anytime. You and your child’s details are entered onto our database and we will be in touch nearer to the time of their 3rd birthday to discuss your childcare needs. Call us on 0117 947 8371 or email us at
  hillsidep1@outlook.com to request an application form.
- Initial Visit
  You and your child will be shown around Hillside by our Pre-School Leader and you will be provided with all of the information you need about starting Pre-School.
- Offer Letter
  Your child will receive an email offering them a place (subject to availability), detailing session days and times. Parents must return the confirmation slip provided to accept or decline their child’s place.
  If accepted your child will be invited for another visit to start off the settling in process.
- Start Date
  The big day has arrived. Please feel free to discuss any issues with your Key Person, especially if you would like to stay with your child while they settle in. Please ensure any changes to contact or collection details are made known.

- Free Places
  Children are eligible to start at Hillside Pre-School from their 3rd birthday. Free Space eligibility begins from the term following their birthday (1st September, 1st January or 1st April) but, subject to session availability, you can pay for sessions between their birthday and the start of their funded spaces. We also offer 30 hours free childcare – parents need to obtain a unique 30 hour code from
  childcarechoices.gov.uk and this will be dependent on availability of spaces.
  
  5 x 3 hour sessions per week
  Morning sessions: 9am - 12 midday
  OR afternoon sessions: 12 midday - 3pm
  All day sessions are also available (children need to bring a packed lunch from home)
  Term time only
- Paid For Places
  If your child is 3 and not yet entitled to free places or if you would like to pay for additional sessions
  
  £17.00 per 3 hour session
  Morning sessions: 9am - 12 midday
  Afternoon sessions: 12 midday - 3pm
  All Day sessions: 9am - 3pm (children need to bring a packed-lunch)
